Boundary Wharf
My Final Major Project, Based in Chatham, Kent. I chose to use a derelict car sales building located on the River Medway. With this I decided to fabricate an immersive experience designed to explain and teach the people of Chatham how plastics are recycled and how when plastic is thrown away it doesn't disappear.

A souvenir designed as of a response of going to Chatham.
The bottle representing the town in need of major refurbishment.
The Boat representing the well kept dockyard grounds.
In all the souvenir represents the disconnect between the two areas.

A device designed to collect plastic waste from a river using the current.

As the tide flows past the device the arm get pushed out.
Once the weighted net has collected plastic waste it is then drawn in with the crank connected to the base.

The Building was a derelict car sales hall on Chatham High Street.

The building consists of two halls, one being the sales hall and the other being a workshop.

Collages used to get a conceptual idea of the space and what might go into it.

Looking at presidents and uses to create an atmosphere that relates to my initial ideas.

Site model made to give a better understanding of the surrounding area.

Plans were also added above the building to show more context of the proposal.

This is a 1:20 model of the helter skelter in the centre of the building.
The central cylinder is cast in plaster. The staircase and slide are 3D printed.
