Studio Session 13-12-138_edited.jpg

I am a hardworking, organised designer who is willing to go above and beyond any expectation of me. The aspiration of going into design and being able to leave my mark on a site is something I’ve thought about for a while. The idea of being able to design a space that people will then be occupied which results in a feeling is a powerful thing to me and is one of the main driving forces for my work ethic. I want people to get a sense of joy and belonging when they walk into a room as well as being a way of escaping from any problems that they may be facing.

Another aspect I am a strong advocate for is sustainability within design. As a designer it is becoming more and more important to be conscious as to what we are doing to our planet and what impact our designs may have on the environment. The idea of reuse and downcycle is no longer good enough. We have to think and do more about this problem by looking at principles like Cradle to Cradle and circular economy. I’m not saying design should not be abandoned for sustainability but instead they should come hand in hand. We design with sustainability and not for it.

Course Rep of the Year

During my final year of University I lead my peers to the first student led degree show of the decade.

Due to my achievements in the year I was nominated and won 'The Kingston School of Art, Course Representative of the Year'
